Zimbabwe’s ruling party, Zanu-PF, has paid tribute to Namibia’s late founding president Sam Nujoma following his death on Saturday night.
Posting on its X platform, the Zanu-PF quoted president Nangolo Mbumba when announcing Nujoma’s death in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“President Sam Nujoma heroically marshalled the Namibian people during the darkest hours of our liberation struggle until the attainment of freedom and independence from apartheid South Africa on 21 March 1990,” the Zanu-PF notes.
