Zambezi Night marks 13th edition

DJ Siya

The annual Zambezi Night event, hosted by Namibian DJ Siya, returns for its 13th edition on 1 November at The Loft in Windhoek.

The event, which has grown into a recognised platform for music and cultural expression, continues to draw large crowds from across the country.

DJ Siya says the aim of the event is not only to entertain but also to promote Namibian music and culture.

“Zambezi Night is an annual event, and one key focus is to entertain the crowd while amplifying music and culture across our country,” he says.

“This is the 13th edition, and our hope and prayer is to see the event grow even bigger.”

DJ Siya says the choice of venue was based on audience feedback and the atmosphere The Loft provides.

“We chose The Loft because it has a fantastic atmosphere and is the ultimate destination for premium entertainment and a VIP experience in the heart of Windhoek. That’s where we hosted last year’s edition, and people really enjoyed it,” he adds.

The event will again highlight cultural pride, with attendees encouraged to wear traditional attire.

“We celebrate our culture through music,” DJ Siya adds. “During the event, we make sure to feature traditional songs, and many people choose to wear Musisi or Mashamba for the night.”

This year’s edition will feature Zambian artist Drimz Mr Muziq as the guest performer. Drimz is known for his energetic stage presence and hit songs across southern Africa. He will share the stage with several Namibian acts including DJ Siya, Mdu Fire Drummer, DJ Vuyo, Kwaito Lager, Stakes Boy, Karlie The Vocalist, Paul Da Prince, DJ Kiki, Umoya, Xbravo Isoka and Tru Senny.

DJ Siya says last year’s edition attracted a large turnout, and organisers expect an even bigger crowd this year. “It’s going to be a massive event and one worth attending,” he says.

“Zambezi Night is for everyone. It’s about coming together and celebrating our identity.”

Tickets for the event are available directly through the organisers.
