YES the year is truly back in full swing. You can really tell we are all trying to change our lives because my arms are overflowing with the amount of hikes I’ve brought you. Don’t worry though, there’s also a few leisure activities for some variety.
Today
The ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup starts today at the FNB Namibia Cricket Stadium. The opening match sees Tanzania take on the West Indies, hosted by Cricket Namibia and the Namibia Sports Commission.
This Weekend
There’s a hike along the Hohewarte Trail just 45km from Windhoek tomorrow at 07h00. For N$350 per person you can expect a 9km hike with a relatively easy start, climbing through fences and walking on river sand and over rocky riverbeds for around four hours. There will be a break along the way with coffee and treats.
Chef Lize van der Merwe is hosting a six-hour sourdough baking course in Windhoek tomorrow. To join, there’s a fee of N$1 200 for one person and N$2 000 for pairs to step away from fast food culture and into slow mastery. Learn the art of true sourdough from starter to golden crust, in an intimate, hands-on setting from 09h00.
The Ells will be performing at Zest Namibia live this Sunday as part of the weekly Sunday Market. Entry is N$20.
