ON Saturday, a 41-year-old woman took her own life at Karasburg
She has been identified as Getrude Mwahekange.
Her next of kin have been informed of her death.
Deputy commissioner Chrispin Mubepo said the deceased’s body was discovered by her boyfriend in her bedroom at around 13h00 in the Westerkim residential area.
“According to a close relative, she was not happy in her relationship and she was also advised to end the relationship,” said Mubepo.
Mubepo said no foul play is suspected at this stage.
The deceased’s remains will be transported to the Keetmanshoop State Mortuary for possible autopsy, he added.
The police have opened an inquest docket and investigations continue.
