A YOUNG woman at Luederitz survived a shotgun blast to the head after her ex-lover allegedly tried to murder her last Monday night.
Police Deputy Commissioner Josephat Abel says Aloysius Matroos (29), who was employed as a security guard, shot Senjorita Benjamin in the head with his service shotgun before turning the weapon on himself.
