A Woman (21) was fatally stabbed in the early hours of Saturday morning near the Havana dumpsite at Wanaheda, Windhoek.
National police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi says the incident took place on 14 June at around 03h00.
The deceased, identified as Linda Goases, was reportedly attacked by three unknown men while walking home from a memorial service with her boyfriend.
The police say the suspects allegedly confronted the couple, prompting the boyfriend to flee the scene. When he returned, he reportedly found Goases injured.
“He then carried her home and called for help from nearby residents, who summoned an ambulance. Emergency responders declared Goases dead at the scene. She sustained a fatal stab wound to her right arm, believed to have been inflicted with an unknown object,” Shikwambi says.
It is alleged that the suspects remain at large, and police investigations are ongoing.
Goases’ next of kin have been informed of the incident.
