Oshana police have reported that a woman (37) was arrested for the assault and rape of her son (9).
The incident reportedly happened this year, at an unknown date and time, at a village in the Okaku constituency.
Police alleged that the suspect is the biological mother of the victim.
She allegedly used to rape her son and also used firewood to burn the boy whenever he would not allow her to do so, said Oshana chief inspector Thomas Aiyambo.
The boy allegedly informed a community member about being raped by his mother, who subsequently took them both to the police station, where she was arrested.
The suspect has, however, not been formally charged yet.
