A woman (27) was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend (32) in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Hardap region’s Rehoboth Rural constituency.
According to a crime report issued by the Namibian Police on Monday, the incident reportedly occurred in a riverbed in the Rietoog settlement in Klein Aub, at around 05h00.
It is further reported that the deceased, identified as Moreen Van Wyk, and her boyfriend had gone out for the night to a bar located in the settlement.
An argument allegedly erupted between the two and they continued fighting on their way home.
The suspect reportedly strangled Van Wyk and struck her head with stones.
She died on the spot and the suspect is currently in police custody.
Police investigations are ongoing.
