Woman accused of stabbing her mother to death

AN ALLEGED act of matricide prompted the arrest of a 29-year-old woman in Windhoek this weekend.The Namibian Police’s Public Relations and Liaison Division announced on Sunday that the woman was arrested on Saturday after her 56-year-old mother, Christofina Nowases, died from a stab wound to the chest.

The suspect, who is her daughter, had allegedly stabbed her with a kitchen knife after a quarrel.
