With Perseverance Comes Success

Perseverance means “refusing to give up or let go, persevering obstinately, firm or obstinate continue in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition”.

But only a patient person with a strong determination can achieve his goal by perseverance. When a child learns to stand up and tries to walk, he is found to fall down again and again.

And by nature and instinct, he gets up and again tries to step forward, although he falls down. But ultimately, he succeeds in walking. The same thing once happened with each of us when we were children. Similarly on our way to success, we are again supposed to be prepared for obstacles and setbacks.

Henry Ford once said “failure is merely an opportunity to more intelligently begin again”. Thomas Edison is said to have tried 10 000 times to create a light bulb before he succeeded. His attitude was: “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10 000 ways that don’t work”. Persistence is definitely the ability to carry on despite the many obstacles that are likely to present itself.

There are a number of failures and hurdles you have to pass through before you become successful in life. The only undying quality imbibed in every successful man,is the quality of perserverance. It is the quality which makes even seemingly impossible tasks possible. One of the obstacles to attaining success is losing motivation and focus. A good way to maintain focus is to visualise yourself accomplishing your goal no matter what it takes.

Vividly see yourself accomplishing your goal. Likewise avoid getting caught up in negative or unproductive thinking such as “this will never work” or “I can’t do this”.Instead believe in yoursel. You can do it and you will do it.

Read motivational articles and whatever else that will motivate and boost your drive. You must not run away from perseverance but rather adopt it and use it.

So if you keep pushing forward and never give up. I have no doubt you will succeed.
