Windows 10 – All Tech and Tiles

The release of Windows 10 has seen millions of computers around the world upgrading to the new, improved and free version, and so far, consumers are all for the change.

Featuring a striking look with simpler and more colourful details added to the mix, Windows 10 has certainly seen quite a number of modifications in terms of usage and quality.

The start menu, for example, is divided to provide you with quick access to your favourite applications such as Microsoft Word or Windows Media Player, but slightly enhanced. It’s like having a larger version of your Nokia smartphone right at your disposal.

However, Windows 10 is more adapted to suit those with tablets (as per the movement towards touch technology) as the Microsoft team has modified programmes to suit your fingers.

As accessible as the settings menu is now (which eerily resembles that of a smartphone), privacy options are scary. Almost all applications are willing to access either your personal documents, camera or even your microphone. One must wonder why an application meant for taking notes needs your webcam. If you’re not happy with the settings, feel free to change them immediately.

In celebration of Microsoft Solitaire’s 25th anniversary, users will get the latest version of Solitaire, Spider, Freecell as well as newbies Pyramid, TriPeaks and Klondike. Although Minesweeper has been removed, there is no need for despair. By logging in and downloading games at the Store, you are given the ultimate experience using your Microsoft account (which you can set up for free).

Complicated as some apps may seem, a few day’s work and practice will have you conquering Windows 10 in no time.

Not satisfied with how Windows 10 turned out? You can revert back to Windows 7 or 8.1 within the next month, but after that time period, you will be required to pay.
