Get ready to laugh like never before.
As Windhoek’s comedy scene is on fire with not one, not two, but three uproarious comedy events hitting the city in just a few weeks, we’re about to dive head first into a laughter marathon.
Brace yourselves for a comedy extravaganza that’s bound to leave your funny bone tickled and your cheeks sore from grinning.
First up is the ‘Just For Laughs’ comedy show, featuring Slick The Dick and Siya Seya from South Africa, taking place at Chicago’s Bar and Restaurant this Saturday.
Fellow comedian Big Mich will be the director of proceedings for the evening, while DJs Geespeezy (from Botswana), Zonesh and Wildkid will be on the decks, keeping the music and vibes going.
Tickets will set you back just N$50 for the 20h00 set.
From 2 to 5 October, the Windhoek Comedy Festival will make its debut – something both performers and spectators can enjoy.
Featuring a creative pitch night, live conversations, performances and a one-of-a-kind masterclass for creatives, this festival is an interesting spin on the usual format and promises to provide more than just a laugh or two.
Venue and price details are yet to be released.
Lastly, the Windhoek Comedy Club’s regular showcase, titled ‘The Howler: Summer Sessions’, is back for its ninth edition.
This Wolfshack-hosted event has become a mainstay for many Windhoek comedy aficionados, and on
7 October promises to bring the funny.
This time though they are switching things up by having a ‘Saturday Therapy’ afternoon show, starting at 11h00 for 12h30, with DJ Vuyo on the decks providing a deep house vibe.
The comic line-ups will be announced in the next few weeks.
Tickets will go for N$120 in advance and N$150 at the door.
