The City of Windhoek has announced that its information and communication technology department will be conducting maintenance of its data centre this weekend, disrupting certain public services.
These include the city’s website, applications section, e-portal, mayoral business forum, RedForce service, SMS service, as well as self-reading and prepaid electricity services.
The services may be disrupted until Sunday, when maintenance should be completed.
The following purchases will also be affected: prepaid water purchases, PayPulse and Mobipay transactions, and GIS portal and library system purchases.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve our services,” the city says.
