Willow Smith looking for her place in the world

WILLOW Smith pulled out of ‘Annie’ because she wanted to figure out what she wants from life.

The 13-year-old singer-and-actress – who is the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith recently pulled out of a remake of movie musical ‘Annie’ and says she did so in order to “chill’’ and take stock of her life. She said: “I just wanted to chill, and be at home, and decompress, and just find out what I wanna do and where I stand on this planet, with the little tiny place we have.”

The ‘Whip My Hair’ hitmaker wants her career to be ‘’different’’ to expectations and at the moment, is just enjoying her ‘independence’. In extracts from the new issue of V magazine obtained by E! Online, she said: “I just feel like I want to do it different than the world’s ready for. I’m enjoying just being independent and doing my own thing.’’

In the magazine, Willow did a photoshoot with iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and she hailed the Chanel creative director as “awesome’’.

She said: “[He is] very, very friendly and open. I thought he was gonna be really mysterious, like peering over his glasses, evaluating. But he was just awesome. I don’t have words, because he’s such a huge icon.’’– bangshowbiz.com
