Westair launches first international schedule route

FLYWESTAIR yesterday announced a new four days-a-week route between Eros Airport in Windhoek and Cape Town, South Africa. The airline said in a media statement that the flights are scheduled to start on 7 October 2019.

These flights will be twice a day every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and once on Sunday, and will connect passengers from Eros Airport in Windhoek to Cape Town International Airport, with a stopover at Oranjemund, south-western Namibia. “FlyWestair has introduced scheduled flights departing from Eros Airport in Windhoek to both Oranjemund and Ondangwa. The Oranjemund schedule includes flights every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to the southern town, and back. The Ondangwa route connects passengers between the capital and the northern town of Ondangwa two times per day, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and once on Sunday,” said the statement.

“The latest offering in the scheduled route portfolio will now link Namibians with their southern neighbour South Africa. Westair Aviation has been operating as an official scheduled passenger airline, with flights to various destinations within the country and the sub-region, under the brand name FlyWestair since June 2019,” the statement added.

Additional destinations will be introduced in the future, including the Walvis Bay and Johannesburg route, scheduled to start at the beginning of next year.
