Water crisis at Otjiperongo Secondary School

ERONGO regional director for education Erenfriede Stephanus has said that efforts are underway to address a water crisis at Otjiperongo Secondary School, after the school’s borehole ran dry.

In response, authorities have connected the to a private borehole although the water pressure remains insufficient.

To resolve the situation, a team of water experts from Karibib is scheduled to visit the school today.

If the issue is not resolved promptly, the school may be forced to close temporarily until a reliable water supply is restored, Stephanus said.

Should this happen, pupils will make up for the missed classes during the upcoming holiday period.
