Indepedent meteorologist Vilho Ndeunyema says warmer weather is expected in the southern and central parts of the country over the coming days.
He says temperatures in the north-eastern part of the country, where it will be warm and sunny, will rise to 30 degrees Celsius.
“We expect the temperature to rise in the north, central and south of the country,” he said on Thursday.
Ndeunyema said the country experienced moisture in some parts due to an upper trough, but no rain is expected in the next 14 days.
The upper trough forms in the upper levels of the atmosphere, which causes cold weather by pulling colder, denser air southward from higher latitudes.
Ndeunyema said a series of cold fronts have been coming from the south, adding that the weather has been unpredictable.
He said August is a warmer month, but there have been changes in weather patterns.
“What we see this year may not be the same next year. The weather is changing all the time,” he said.
He said temperatures are expected to be higher moving forward.
