Walvis Bay businessman and honorary consul for Cyprus and Greece John Savva has died.
Savva died on Saturday afternoon.
His family has confirmed his passing.
Savva was involved in retail and property business. He owned Venus
Supermarket and the Atlantic Hotel at Walvis Bay and the Afrodite Beach property development near Dolphin Beach close to the harbour town.
Savva, who is of Cypriot origin, had many friends in every circle of society, including former president Nangolo Mbumba.
Namibia has been his home for the past 56 years.
