Vibration Studios will host its first Visions Beauty Exhibition on 4 April at the Windhoek Showgrounds.
The event will bring together beauty, skincare, grooming and wellness brands, promoting self-expression and confidence.
Organisers say the exhibition seeks to reshape how beauty is understood, while creating space for local creatives and entrepreneurs to showcase their work.
Media personality and former model Maria Amunyela, one of the organisers, says the initiative comes at a time when Namibia’s beauty and lifestyle sectors are steadily expanding.
“Beauty is not just about the way you look; beauty is about being confident, loving yourself and knowing who you are.
And that is what this exhibition is all about – helping people celebrate who they are and learning from each other,” Amunyela says.
The one-day event is expected to attract more than 1 500 visitors, particularly younger Namibians interested in emerging trends and products within the beauty industry.
About 25 curated exhibition booths will allow brands to display their products and interact directly with visitors.
Organisers say the exhibition will also include panel discussions and workshops involving industry professionals such as aesthetic doctors, hairstylists and entrepreneurs.
According to Amunyela, the sessions are intended to encourage deeper conversations about representation and the future of beauty in Namibia.
“The discussions are expected to include topics such as the new face of beauty, the new face of representation and the new face of the Namibian skincare and haircare industries,” she says.
Amunyela adds that the exhibition aims to highlight African and Namibian perspectives in an industry long shaped by international trends.
“For many years, the face of beauty has been defined by what we have seen outside of our borders.
Now, we are beginning to hear and see the face of beauty from our own Africans, from our own Namibians.
And that is powerful,” she says.
The platform is intended to support collaboration among local creatives working across different parts of the beauty sector.
“There are so many talented people in Namibia – makeup artists, hairstylists, photographers and content creators.
When we bring everyone together in one place, it opens doors for collaboration and growth,” Amunyela says.
Organisers have also planned a men’s corner, hosted by media personality and model Luis Munana, focusing on male grooming, self-care and lifestyle.
The feature reflects what organisers describe as growing inclusivity in conversations around beauty and wellness.
In addition to exhibitions and discussions, visitors can expect live entertainment from local musicians and interactive content creation activities, including comedy and competitions designed to engage attendees throughout the event.
Promotional activities are already underway in the lead-up to the exhibition as organisers seek to build momentum around the launch.
“I’m excited to see people coming together to celebrate beauty in all its forms.
This is not just an event. It is a moment for Namibia’s beauty community to shine,” Amunyela says.
