Varsity Life

University is seen as the door to success by most people in the world, I believe. With this perspective, most youth study hard with the goal of getting into university one day.

I believe university life is the trickiest for most students. It comes with a bunch of choices. These choices start from the very first day you step into your first lecture. The choices come consciously or unconsciously, directly or indirectly, day by day.

Your varsity life will then reflect the selections that you made. Varsity life could be easy if you are lucky, but it’;s mostly hard due to the overwhelming amount of choices.

The common first choice is to either stay alone or join a squad; however, it’;s hard to find people who share values similar to yours.

No man is an island and I believe friends are needs in our lives, thus, this is the crucial choice one has to make at varsity which influences future choices.

The secret to finding good buddies is being persistent and comparing others’; values with yours. Find out if you have mutual interests and backgrounds.

Varsity is the most stressful thing both academically and socially.

Remember, the point of being at varsity is to cross that door to success, but some are inclined to forget their purpose of being there. Because of being self-regulating, some tend to be more interested in ‘;world messes’;. This includes romantic relationships, trendy outfits and apparently being ‘;slay queens’; and ‘;slay kings’;, making academics the last issue.

These are some of the activities that lead to poor academic performance, stress, financial problems and, eventually, a bad varsity life.

To enjoy varsity, you should always be aware of the choices you make, put your academics on top of anything and choose friends wisely. Be self-determining and decisive to avoid pressure from your peers.

Stay lowkey, remember you are still a student. Always ask yourself if you are the type of person you wanted to be three years ago. Stay motivated and enjoy varsity!
