Urban and rural development minister Erastus Uutoni on Wednesday called out towns like Ondangwa, Ongwediva and Grootfontein for their lack of parks for residents to enjoy.
Uutoni was speaking at a workshop on regional and local economic development policy.
“I can ask you, do you have parks where people can come and relax? And somebody will say, no, we have no money,” he said.
This is part of the municipality’s services to residents for the economic development of their localities.
“Ondangwa, where’s your park? Ongwediva, where is your park? Grootfontein, where’s your park,” Uutoni questioned the municipalities.
