Unam’s Fashion Students Showcase Talent

As has become tradition, the University of Namibia (Unam) will once again showcase the work of their fashion design students.

Every year Unam’s Visual and Performing Arts Department puts on a fashion show to celebrate the hard work of all fashion students ranging from first years to final year students. This is an opportunity for the students to show off their talents and the work they have done throughout the year. It also provides a valuable networking opportunity for the students, who get to meet people from the creative industries.

This year’s highlight is Marcellinus Swartbooi, who was awarded an Excellence Award made possible with Standard Bank sponsorship.

Guest designer, Alumnus, will showcase their garments at the show. Their designs will serve to inspire current and future students.

This fashion show was made possible with the support of Standard Bank, Chelsea Fashion and the National Arts Council of Namibia.

The event takes place on Friday, 7 November at 20h00 at the FNCC Gallery. Entrance is N$20 for students and N$50 for members of the public.
