Uaandja named executive director of Emeraldsand Platforms

Nangula Uaandja

Nangula Uaandja will join media company Emeraldsand Platforms, owner of Namibian Sun, Republikein and other ventures, on 1 February ahead of becoming executive director on 1 July.

This was announced by Emeraldsand Platforms in a press release on Monday.

“Emeraldsand Platforms has built a strong foundation with a clear sense of purpose and execution. I am honoured to join the group at this pivotal stage and look forward to scaling its impact regionally while ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth,” Uaandja says.

She has served as chief executive of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board for the past five years.

Uaandja takes over from Albe Botha, who held the position for the past 13 years.

Botha will remain on the board and focus on project execution, according to the press release.

Emeraldsand Platforms has a portfolio of more than 30 companies. It acquired management control of Network Media Hub in 2023.
