Two women die in Okaku constituency on same day

Two women died in the Okaku constituency in the Oshana region on the same day last week.

In one incident, a woman (40) was allegedly stabbed to death infront of her mother by her boyfriend at Onawa village on 30 November.

According to a crime report, the deseased, identified as Katrina Amakali, was stabbed with a knife several times and died instantly.

The next of kin have been informed and police investigations into the matter are continuing.

In a separate incident, a woman (32) allegedly took her own life at Iindangungu village on 30 November at around 17h30.

It is alleged that the deceased was discovered by her mother.

A suicide note has been found in her room and the next of kin have been informed. No foul play is suspected.

The deceased has been identified as Legesia Alfeus.
