The police in the Ohangwena region are investigating a case in which a man (33) allegedly raped a teenager (16) with disabilities.
National police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi in the police’s weekend crime report says the incident took place on Friday at Omufitu-wekuta village in the Eenhana district.
“The suspect allegedly found the victim home alone, took her to the bush, and raped her,” she says.
The suspect has been arrested and police investigations into the matter continue.
In another incident, the police in the Omusati region are investigating a case in which another teenager (16) was allegedly raped by a man (23).
Shikwambi says the incident took place near Uutsathima Combined School in the Okahao constituency on Friday.
The suspect was arrested and investigations continue.
In the Oshana region, a woman (38) died at the scene where she was allegedly stabbed with a knife by an Angolan national (36).
“The victim was stabbed in the neck and stomach and further assaulted with a cooking stick,” Shikwambi says.
