Two take own life in Ohangwena

An Angolan man (24) reportedly took his life at Omutwewondjaba village at Eenhana.

Ohangwena crime investigations coordinator deputy commissioner Melanie Mbuuru says the incident happened on Friday between 00h50 and 07h30.

She says the man allegedly had an argument with one of his housemates the previous night and went to sleep after the fight was stopped in the early hours of the morning.

“Children discovered his body next to the house,” she says.

The man was a domestic worker from Oshivemba village in Angola.

Mbuuru says his next of kin have not been informed of the incident yet and are still to be traced.

In a separate incident, the body of a man (34) was found at Omakango village in the Ohangwena region, also on Friday.

No suicide note was found, and no foul play is suspected, she says.

Police investigations into the two cases continue.
