Two raped over the weekend

The Namibian Police have reported two cases of rape over the weekend.

This was noted in the police crime report by spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi.

In the Otjozondjupa region on Saturday, it is reported that a girl (14) was allegedly raped by a suspect (23), who was caught in the act by an eyewitness.

The suspect is due to appear in the Okakarara Magistrate’s Court.

“Police investigations continue,” said Shikwambi.

At Opuwo, also on Saturday, a woman (34) was raped by an unknown man after returning home from work.
