The police have reported three cases of rape over the weekend, two of them involving minors aged four, at Mururani, Katutura and Opuwo.
At Sihepera village at Mururani, a 28-year-old man allegedly raped a four-year-old minor after luring the victim into the bushes. The suspect has been arrested.
Another four-year-old minor was allegedly raped by a 15-year-old suspect at the Damara area of Katutura, Windhoek. Both the victim and suspect have been living in the same household and the suspect is expected to appear before the magistrate court tomorrow.
A 27-year-old Namibian female was raped on Friday afternoon after she was approached from behind and pushed into the riverbed by an unknown suspect at the Orutjandja area at Opuwo.
In both three cases, police investigations are ongoing in the cases.
