The police has reported two cases of rape involving minors this weekend.
National police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi has confirmed the alleged rape of a girl (9) at Outjo on Thursday.
It is alleged that the girl was raped at a neighbour’s house.
“The mother (48) of the victim alerted the police,” Shikwambi says.
The suspect has been arrested and police investigations continue.
In another incident, a girl (13) was allegedly raped by a man (26) at Tutaleni at Walvis Bay.
“The suspect has been arrested and police investigation continues,” Shikwambi says.
