Two GBV murders over the weekend

A man and woman were killed by their partners over the weekend, police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi noted in the police weekend crime report.

A 33-year-old man was arrested at Cancana village in the Kavango West region after assaulting his 31-year-old wife.

It is alleged that he assaulted his wife with sticks and kicked her all over her body, causing her death.

Police investigations continue.

In a separate incident at Josephine Farm in the Windhoek district, a 32-year-old woman was arrested after she stabbed her 41-year-old boyfriend to death on Saturday.

“Both the suspect and the deceased were employed at Josephine Farm,” Shikwambi said.

It is alleged that the two were drinking and had an argument before she stabbed the deceased to death.
