Two children aged two and five died in a water pan at Onamanape village at Okalongo on Thursday, Omusati regional police commissioner Ismael Basson said.

He said Maria and Magano Andreas were left home alone by their grandmother on Thursday.

When she returned at around 19h30, the children were not at the house.

A search for them ensued, and their bodies were discovered in a water pan on Friday morning.
