Two centuries later, school opens in Argentina

BUENOS AIRES – A school in Argentina’s northern Jujuy province is set to open this week, nearly 200 years after a wealthy patron set aside funds for its construction.

Manuel Belgrano, one of the leaders of Argentina’s independence movement, donated some 40 000 pesos for the construction of four study centres across the country in 1813.
