Two men have been arrested for allegedly raping a 39-year-old woman with an intellectual disability at Oshitudha village in the Omusati region.
Omusati police commander commissioner Ismael Basson says the incident happened at around 22h00 on Monday.
Basson says the two suspects encountered the victim while she was walking from the nearby shops.
“It’s alleged that two suspects grabbed the victim from behind and pushed her to the ground before forcefully having sexual intercourse with her.”
He adds that the matter was reported to the police by a female relative.
Police investigations continue.
