Two suspects were arrested for assaulting a pensioner with a stick at Kamuti village in the Kavango West region on Monday.
Kavango West police regional chief inspector Raimbeth Muronga says the suspects allegedly assaulted the complainant (81) with a stick several times on the head and hands, causing serious injuries.
The incident occurred around 18h00 at Kamuti village in the Ncamagoro constituency.
“The victim is currently admitted to Rundu Intermediate State Hospital, and he is in a stable condition,” Muronga says.
Muronga says the two suspects have been arrested and are ages 37 and 23.
