Twin brothers (4) died in a trunk at Okatope village in the Oshikoto region on Sunday.
According to a recent police report by Oshikoto police regional commander Theopolina Kalompo-Nashikaku, the twins were left home alone by their mother at around 17h00 when she visited a family house in the same village.
“It is alleged that the mother went to join the other people there to go and collect wild fruits, eembeke, in the forest.
At around 18h00, the mother arrived back home and found the deceaseds lying dead in a trunk which was in the sleeping room. The trunk was covered, which seems the cover closed itself, but not locked,” Kalompo-Nashikaku said.
The twins were identified as Angula Magnes Simaneka and Angula Salom Panduleni.
Their next of kin have been informed and police investigations continue.
