Tsumeb spends N$11,4 million on sewerage, water, electricity

…projects to cost N$32,5m upon completion  

The Tsumeb Municipality has so far spent N$11,4 million on water, sewerage and electricity projects for Nomtsoub Extension 9.

This is part of the N$32,5 million budget for two projects set to finish in the 2024/25 financial year.

This was revealed by Oshikoto governor Penda Ya Ndakolo during the state of the region address at Omuthiya on Friday.

Ya Ndakolo said the Tsumeb Municipality aims to deliver 293 serviced erven to the residents of Tsumeb.

“The project is at 25% and is on-going. The project is estimated to be completed by the 2024/2025 financial year. The municipality is also implementing the electrical reticulation project for Nomtsoub Extension 9, which aims to deliver street lights and mini-subs to the 293 ervens,” Ya Ndakolo said.

The governor said the electrification project  is on-going and is currently 63% completed and is due for completion during the same period. 

“A total amount of N$11,4 million has so far been spent on the two projects. The two projects are expected to cost the municipality a total of N$ 32,5 million upon completion,” he added.
