Tsumeb Primary School receives N$3,4 million donation

Education, arts and culture minister Ester Nghipondoka received a donation of eight classrooms, a computer lab and a storeroom at Tsumeb Primary School, valued at N$3,4 million.

This donation has been made possible by MTC Namibia through their Rural Schools Project in collaboration with the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA).

This project has delivered 49 classrooms since 2019.

“Given that the ministry has a backlog of over 4 000 classrooms countrywide, the minister made a clarion call to all stakeholders of education to pool resources and tackle this backlog head-on! If MTC and MVA can deliver eight classrooms in two months, then how about we hold hands together and address the challenges,” the ministry says in a statement.
