Triplets born at Keetmans

A 25-year-old mother from the farm Tsumis near Berseba village in the South has given birth to triplets – two boys and a girl.

Christina Oarum gave birth at the Keetmanshoop State Hospital on Sunday. Mother and babies are said to be doing well.According to maternity ward nurse SK Ngolo, the two boys weighed 1,3 kg each while the girl weighed in at 1,5 kg.Ngolo said the triplets will be kept in an incubator until they gain more weight.The proud mother of the triplets yesterday told The Namibian that she has two other children – two and three years old.Oarum said neither she nor the father of the triplets has a job and would appreciate any support, whether material or financial.”It’s a blessing from God and I thank Him for giving me three healthy babies at once,” she said.Oarum is the second mother to give birth to triplets at the Keetmanshoop State Hospital in less than a year.Mother and babies are said to be doing well.According to maternity ward nurse SK Ngolo, the two boys weighed 1,3 kg each while the girl weighed in at 1,5 kg.Ngolo said the triplets will be kept in an incubator until they gain more weight.The proud mother of the triplets yesterday told The Namibian that she has two other children – two and three years old.
