Tributes pour in for Zahara

Tributes continue to pour in on Tuesday morning following the death of Afro-pop diva Zahara on Monday night.

Born Bulelwa Mkutukana, but better known as Zahara among her legion of fans, the South African songbird succumbed to liver complications in a Johannesburg hospital.

South African national broadcaster SABC reported that her death has been confirmed by family members.

The 35-year-old released five studio albums, with her 2011 debut album ‘Loliwe’ going double platinum.

Over the last 12 years, she became one of southern Africa’s most recognised musicians for her unique style. -SABC
