Toy gun threat backfires

A MAN wielding a plastic toy gun was shot and wounded by Police officers in Katutura on Saturday, the Police reported yesterday.

Seth Doeseb allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend following an argument. Neighbours called the Katutura Police Quick Response team at about 22h30 to report the quarrel.When they arrived, Doeseb came out of his house holding what appeared to be a firearm.Police fired at him and he was wounded in his left upper leg.It was later discovered that Doeseb’s “weapon” was in fact a plastic bee-bee gun.Doeseb was charged with attempted murder after being treated at the Katutura State Hospital.Neighbours called the Katutura Police Quick Response team at about 22h30 to report the quarrel.
