Tourists robbed at Keetmanshoop

TWO German tourists were robbed at the Quivertree rest camp at Keetmanshoop on Saturday night.

Four suspects apparently held them at knifepoint and stole a Sony camera, a Global Positioning System (GPS), a black bag containing personal documents and N$2 000 in cash. Police later arrested two men, aged 27 and 29, while two others remain at large.* Three men got into a Windhoek woman’s car on Saturday night as she was driving from the Roman Catholic Hospital.The men, armed with a gun, ordered her to drive up to TransNamib opposite the Famous Butchers’ Grill, and robbed her of a watch, a ring, a cellphone and N$2 500 in cash.No arrest has been made yet.* Also at Keetmans-hoop, a 16-year-old boy was arrested on Saturday after allegedly stabbing a man in the chest at the Sports Bar at Tseiblaagte.The victim was rushed to Windhoek for treatment and is said to be in a critical condition.Police later arrested two men, aged 27 and 29, while two others remain at large.* Three men got into a Windhoek woman’s car on Saturday night as she was driving from the Roman Catholic Hospital.
