Top Zambezi officials in court over corruption

Zambezi chief regional officer Regina Ndopu-Lubinda and three other individuals, who have been arrested in connection with corruption by the Anti-Corruption Commission, were granted bail in an amount of N$50 000 each during their first appearance at the Katima Mulilo Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

The three individuals are regional director of planning and rural development Beaven Walubita, deputy director Cletius Mubita, and Daniel Mbala.

The charges involve an amount of over N$4 million.

The case was postponed to 7 December.
