A boy (4) died after he was allegedly assaulted by his grandmother’s boyfriend in Windhoek on Saturday.
The police say the suspect (34) reportedly slammed the boy onto the ground repeatedly, resulting in injuries that led to his death.
“The boyfriend hit the four-year-old boy on the ground repeatedly before he succumbed to his injuries. He was declared dead at the scene by paramedics,” a police report states.
In another incident in Windhoek, the police are investigating an inquest after a woman (40) was found dead at a Goreangab residence on Thursday night.
“The body of Martha Indongo was discovered by her husband,” it reads. Her next of kin have been informed of the incident.
Meanwhile, Petrus Ndundu (32) died after he was reportedly struck by a vehicle in the Havana informal settlement in Windhoek on Thursday evening.
The incident allegedly took place while Ndundu was crossing the road.
Paramedics declared him dead at the scene.
The driver (38) tested negative for alcohol and was found in possession of a valid driving licence.
Ndundu’s next of kin have been notified and no arrest has been made.
Police investigations into all the cases continue.
