This was also proven by the passionate and talented rap musician, TK the Rapper, who announced his comeback and promised to revive the hip-hop genre, which seems to be forgotten.
TK the Rapper disappeared from the limelight after dropping his debut album titled “;Alarm”; in 2020.
He says his career was affected by the pandemic, and he was forced to try other ventures such as boxing, and completing his studies.
“After releasing the “;Alarm”; album, unfortunately Covid-19 came. I had to pick up other hobbies since no shows were being hosted,” says TK the Rapper.
Despite that, the “;Mbelewa”; hitmaker says he did not give up music completely as he was also spending his time in the studio working on his upcoming project, a six-track extended play (EP).
The EP is set for release next month.
“For now, I and the team have not decided the name of the EP, but it will feature an upcoming talented rapper, P08, who will be introduced to the industry through my EP,” says TK the Rapper.
P08 is also part of his music label, Paperboyz Recordz.
TK the Rapper”;s last single “;3 AM”; was released last year, and was complemented by a music video.
“We renamed the song to “;3 AM”; after we finished shooting the video at 03h00.
The video was shot by Racio Media in Oluno at Ondangwa, and was produced by Mamba”;s Mansion.
TK the Rapper started making music at the age of 19, when he recorded his first song in 2016 called “;Shit just go real”;.
In 2019, he released “;Mbelewa”;.
“Although I could brag about the number of shows I performed, my biggest achievement is when people come to me and tell me how my music has helped them become better people or helped them fight depression,” says TK the Rapper.
As he is fully vested in the younger generation of hip-hop artists, he says he plans to continue uplifting the hip-hop genre and young musicians.
“There are so many talented kids out there that can”;t be heard because there are no funding and talent development initiatives. So, I help these artists with free studio time and free features to help them get more exposure. I have given upcoming rap artists a platform to perform at establishments like Chopsies where I used to host them every week. We”;ll be doing more of that this summer.”
