Three take their lives over weekend

Two men and one woman allegedly took their lives at Ondangwa, Oshivelo and Omuthiya, respectively, over the weekend.

This is according to the police’s weekend crime report.

Kapiye Johannes (39) took his life at Olungalunga village in the Ondangwa district on Saturday.

His next of kin have been informed, no suicide note has been left, and police investigations are ongoing.

In another incident at Oshivelo Build Together location in the Oshikoto region, the body of Ester Thomas (25) was discovered under a tree on Saturday.

It is alleged she had a disagreement with her boyfriend the previous night.

No suicide note has been left, and no foul play is suspected. Thomas’ next of kin have been informed and police investigations continue.

Samuel Stefenus (82) died at Okapuka village in the Omuthiya district, also on Saturday.

His girlfriend allegedly discovered his body in his hut.

“It is alleged that the deceased spent the entire day at home and did not show any signs of having problems,” the police say.

No suicide note was left, and no foul play is suspected.

Stefenus’ next of kin have been informed of his death.
