“AT A CERTAIN point in our lives, we lose control of what is happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. This is the world’s greatest lie,” Paulo Coelho declares in his book, ‘The Alchemist’.
But is this really the world’s greatest lie? Are we truly the ones who control our own lives, or does fate step in and take control of the wheel when all hope seems to be lost?
I firmly believe that this is the world’s greatest truth.
I mean, how else could one possibly explain unintentional encounters with people who, in the long run, end up becoming one of, if not the most important person in our lives?
“Sometimes we seem to end up in the right place, at the right time as though in accordance with someone’s will,” sounds pretty much like fate to me.
Fate is the destiny that is pre-planned for you, but it is up to you to do something with it.
In other words, fate is the potential your life has. These possibilities have been carefully mapped out for you; you just have to decide which ones to seize.
You cannot change your fate, but your free will can postpone it. Even though you may have had your head down for years, fate will keep presenting itself until you are ready to accept it.
Fate, however, does not give up on you.
You will never lose what is meant for you; you can delay it. It is all about the actions you take or do not take when fate eventually comes knocking at your door.
Fate is creative. It will present itself in many ways, maybe through an informal introduction to someone, or missing the bus and meeting someone who will transform your life in ways you have only read about in a Mills and Boons romance novel.
Fate is presenting you with a pyramid of opportunities and innumerable possibilities. It is simply just waiting for you to grasp those you truly desire.
