The sky’s the limit for Latoya

Latoya Stella

With Afrobeats taking over everywhere, the fusion genre is enjoying its well-deserved time in the spotlight.

In this genre, Latoya Stella is surely one of the musicians to keep on repeat.

With two songs already under her belt, the artist has released another song titled ‘Commando’ recently.

With over 355k views on Youtube, the track’s success is not a one-off phenomenon, but rather part of a more significant and growing trend.

In an interview with Unwrap.online this week, the artist expressed gratitude towards her support, saying her musical journey has been a rollercoaster filled with growth and learning.

Inspired by musicians such as Sally Boss Madam, the artist gears up for her first debut album.

“There are some exciting plans in the works, but for now, the details are confidential. Music fans can expect something new anytime soon, but I’m not ready to share all the specifics just yet. Stay tuned,” she says.

Although she refuses to divulge more on upcoming projects, the artist promises exciting music videos in the next few months.

On the projects released so far, Stella reveals that, out of all songs dropped, her favourite remains a single titled ‘My Pace’ released six months ago.

She says the song is deeply personal and reflects a pivotal moment in her life.

“The music industry has been both rewarding and challenging. It’s a fast-paced environment where you must constantly adapt, but the journey has been fulfilling. If I could change anything in the industry, it would be creating more opportunities for emerging artists. I believe in giving more exposure to new voices, which would help the industry grow and diversify,” she says.

Apart from music, Stella also enjoys experimenting with fashion.

“In my free time, I love to relax with my friends and family. I’m also passionate about fashion and often find myself working on creative projects that allow me to express myself outside of music,” she adds.

Asked on what her musical aspirations are, Stella says she finds inspiration in herself.

“Besides being inspired by a few musical geniuses locally and internationally, my experiences, dreams, struggles and my triumphs are my inspiration. My music reflects my journey and through it, I aim to further connect with others on a deeply personal level,” she notes. – unWrap.online
