LONDON – Chelsea captain John Terry wants to win the FA Cup so the Londoners can take some of the edge off losing their Premiership title to Manchester United.
The rivals meet on Saturday for the first FA Cup Final at the rebuilt Wembley Stadium with England skipper Terry thirsting for revenge. Before that match the centre-half will lead Chelsea out at Stamford Bridge for their final league games of the season against Everton where they will try to equal Liverpool’s record of 63 unbeaten home games. However, Terry cannot wait for the journey to north London and a last chance to put one over on United by denying Sir Alex Ferguson’s side the ‘double’.”That will be the last game of the season. We can go off on our holidays having won the FA Cup and enjoy it.”Man Utd will have the feeling that we had after losing the Premiership. They will have to wait until next season to get that winning feeling back.If we can go away and do that it will be great. The Premiership has hurt me the most this season.I have loved lifting that trophy and on Sunday it is not going to be right. There will be something missing. It is up to us as a group and the manager to lift everyone again because that has got to be our base for years to come.Nampa-AFPBefore that match the centre-half will lead Chelsea out at Stamford Bridge for their final league games of the season against Everton where they will try to equal Liverpool’s record of 63 unbeaten home games. It is up to us as a group and the manager to lift everyone again because that has got to be our base for years to come.Nampa-AFP
