Songstress Teqla and musician Patrick Sikiliza from the popular band PDK have teamed up to collaborate on the upcoming single, ‘Because of You’, which will be officially released today.
The musicians say the unique R&B/soul song aims to revive their musical talents and was produced by Mr Glo.
According to Teqla, the song is all about finding peace, love and joy in that someone special.
“It’s also about being thankful and protective of unconditional love,” Teqla says.
Commenting on why she chose to work with Sikiliza, Teqla says she hadn’t heard of a Namibian love duet before and badly wanted to make one with Sikiliza.
“It came out as a massive hit,” she says.
Sikiliza says the collaboration came at just the right time, and the song was done for a specific couple who commissioned it.
“We did the song with wonderful work and the rest is history,” he says.
The song will be the second single off Teqla’s upcoming album, she says, promising to share more details at a later stage.
The singers say ‘Because of You’ will be released on all music platforms for download and streaming, and will also be played on various radio stations.
“This year I am planning on releasing three singles, which include a video, before the album release. So, we are almost there,” says Teqla.
