Telecom eyes rural telecommunications

TELECOM Namibia has signed an agreement with an international Huawei Technologies aimed at piloting rural wireless local loop telecommunication system.

A media statement from Telecom Namibia released yesterday said under the agreement which was sealed on November 18, Huawei Technologies would provide the parastatal with wireless loop equipment for a pilot implementation in Otjiwarongo over a three-month period.
